About

About Elderhaus

Elderhaus is a compassionate place for weekday care away from home, with full-day or half-day options. While our name says “elder,” our participants are all adults age 18 and older in need of some assistance. Our “haus” is a large two-level hospitality venue in a picturesque setting, with dining, meeting, crafts and exercise facilities. We have provided a productive experience—through activities and community engagement—for participants from Northern Colorado since 1980.
Transportation is included for all off-site activities and programs. Transportation to and from home is available for most locations for a fee, or provided by government agencies, if eligible.
Cost-effective care is our goal for all who need Elderhaus services. Payment sources include Medicaid, veterans benefits, and affordable private pay. Financial aid may be available with scholarship options.

2025 Holiday Closures

Inclement weather policy

Elderhaus follows the Poudre School District closures for severe weather. You can find the weather closure list on most major news channels for the Poudre School District notice or on 9News where Elderhaus would be listed if we close. You can also visit the Elderhaus Facebook Page (https://www.facebook.com/Elderhaus), call our main number 970.221.0406 or wait for a       call/text/e-mail from us.

If you utilize Elderhaus’ transportation: We expect that the walkway to your door is shoveled and safe for walking. If the snow or ice on your street makes it unsafe for our vehicles to navigate- we may not be able to pick up your participant.
